St. Matthew's House Asking for Help to Meet Needs
Naples, FL (July 25, 2007) - St. Matthew's House has announced that it is seeing an overwhelming need for its services this summer and is asking the community for immediate support.
"Our funds are always lower during the off-season and this year it has been particularly difficult," stated Vann Ellison, Executive Director. "As our community grows, so grows the poor here and their needs. We require funding throughout the entire year to provide housing and meals to the hungry and homeless of our community."
St. Matthew's House also needs items for its Community Outreach Program that provides bags of groceries and supplies to individuals and families on the verge of homelessness. While all food items are welcome, the most needed include peanut butter, dry and canned beans, rice, macaroni & cheese, apples sauce, dry and canned milk, and canned meat.
Supplies needed are individually sized toiletries for men and women (toothpaste, shampoo, soap, etc.), feminine hygiene products, diapers in all sizes, baby wipes, packaged underwear and t-shirts for men and women, towels -- linens, blankets and pillows for single beds.
To make a financial donation send to: St. Matthew's House, 2001 Airport Road South
