Our Programs

Justin's Place (formerly Old Firehouse Feeding Ministry)

Justin's Place operates out of our original facility, the former East Naples Fire Station. When we moved into our current facility in 1994, the old one became a dedicated feeding ministry. On average, we prepare 200 meals per day to feed anyone who is homeless and/or hungry. With the recent downturn in the economy, this totals to over 30,000 meals served each year at Justin's Place and over 200,000 meals served annually at our combined facilities. When you add it up, St. Matthew's House has served over TWO MILLION meals since our start in 1988!

Following a complete overhaul finished in October 2008, the facility houses 16 former St. Matthew's House residents who are participants in our Justin's Place Recovery program. It also offers clean, safe public restrooms. Having never missed a day of serving meals, Justin's Place continues to feed the homeless, hungry and needy of our community underneath a protective awning (paid for in part by a grant from Professional Givers Anonymous) that shields diners from the intense summer sun and rains.

The Grand Reopening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Justin's Place was held on October 29th, 2008. Read all about it here.
